Register a newborn child in the Sint Maarten Civil Registry.
Legally recognise a child as your own, before or after birth, when the parents are not married.
The acknowledgement is recorded in a deed by the Registrar of the Civil Registry in the presence of the father and, where required, with the consent of the mother.
Acknowledgement before birth is possible from the moment the pregnancy is confirmed and is recorded on the birth record automatically.

- Written Consent of the Mother
Signed declaration, required for children under 16.

- Pregnancy Declaration
For acknowledgement before birth, issued by the physician or midwife.
- Birth Certificate of the Child
For acknowledgement after birth.
