Register a birth, paternity, death, marriage, impediment or divorce with the Civil Registry.
Register a legal objection against an intended marriage announced in Sint Maarten.
An impediment may only be lodged on legal grounds, for example an existing marriage, a prohibited degree of kinship, or the absence of free consent.
The Registrar suspends the ceremony until the impediment has been withdrawn or ruled upon by the court.
